John Kenney Childcare Center is a nonprofit, developmentally appropriate childcare center looking for energetic teachers who are passionate about teaching young children. As an assistant teacher, you will be responsible for assisting the lead teacher with the day to day routine of the classroom. We are looking for teachers who are committed to their work.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting lead teacher with implementing all classroom activities
  • Caring for and supervising children
  • ensuring all health and safety standards are met
  • interacting with children in play and implementing positive guidance and discipline techniques
  • assisting children with mealtime and cleanup
  • maintaining the physical appearance and cleanliness of the classroom
  • completing mandatory training

Applicant must be available Monday through Friday. Part time hours are 2:30-6:00. Full time hours available are: 10:00am-6:00pm.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • daycare teaching: 2 years (Required)
