This role will support and enhance the fundraising success of the College of Business through individual and corporate philanthropy work. (S)he will spend majority of their time strategically developing relationships with existing and prospective donors who demonstrate potential for gifts at the $5,000+ level. Additional work will focus on collaboration with the College and UA partners to support acquisition and processing of corporate sponsorships, along with annual solicitations of all College Advisory Board members. This position has the opportunity to work in a hybrid work arrangement, with time worked both on campus as well as remotely.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Direct Portfolio Management - Manage a portfolio of approximately 100 College of Business prospects, renewing 70-80% of the portfolio on an annual basis. Complete 15-20 personal visits monthly, utilizing best practices in qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship to move prospects along donor continuum. Maintain appropriate contact with prospects and record substantive information in UA database. Submit appropriate travel expense receipts per P-card policies.
2. College Relations & Collaboration - Collaborate with faculty and staff to support acquisition and processing of philanthropic gifts and/or sponsorships for Business school corporate, networking, or panel events. Partners with College of Business faculty and staff, as well as with UA colleagues, to ensure annual, major, or planned gift solicitations are advanced to all members of a College Advisory Board; support continued recruitment and engagement of Advisory Board members as well.
3. Build Community - Attend relevant College of Business and university events and meetings, some during the evenings and weekends; represents the university to external constituents. Participate in all UA, College Advancement, or other required team or staff meetings.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
At least 2 years of development-related experience in non-profit or an outside sales environment, specifically working with engaged volunteers and/or directly involved with annual fundraising efforts and personal solicitation is required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with colleagues in a team environment.
