Essential Job Duties

Join a team that’s redefining excellence in veterinary medicine. The CVM Program Specialist plays a key role in creating a seamless and compassionate experience for clients at NC State’s College of Veterinary Medicine. This position is responsible for coordinating and managing initiatives that improve client navigation, satisfaction, and overall program success within a complex tertiary care environment.

In this role, you’ll serve as a central point of contact for clients, faculty, and referring veterinarians—removing barriers to care, implementing process improvements, and driving initiatives that enhance the client and patient experience. You’ll also oversee strategic projects, develop and maintain standard operating procedures, and manage a volunteer program that supports client care and communication. Work may involve sitting for extended periods, using a computer regularly, and occasionally lifting up to 15 pounds (with or without reasonable accommodations).

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinate and manage client experience and navigation initiatives to support timely, compassionate care.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients requiring assistance and collaborate closely with the Care Team.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures and strategic initiatives that improve client satisfaction.
  • Manage a volunteer program designed to enhance client and patient experiences.
  • Monitor satisfaction trends (CalPro) and implement improvement strategies in partnership with hospital leadership.

If you’re organized, empathetic, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-centered environment, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful difference. Bring your leadership, communication skills, and compassion to a role that directly supports NC State’s mission of excellence in service, education, and patient care.
